The Land Claim
It seems like this has been going on for years now. However, we are coming closer to a resolution. We will be going to court in 2014 to challenge Canada and Ontario on the Treaty Adhesion issue. As you all may know we did not sign the Robinson Superior Treaty so we claim Aboriginal title to our traditional territory. We will continue to fight this in the courts until we are successful.
As we develop our economy we need to expand our land base to create strategic opportunities related to economic development. This can be done through the land claim and/ or outright purchase of available land.
I will support the ongoing battle for our land.
